Autumn

It's that time of the year where the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier and the temperature gets a little chilly. But it also happens to be when we celebrate Halloween, Bonfire Night and the count down for Christmas begins!

Autumn is my favourite season and therefore I wanted to find out what others love about the season too. Is it the shedding of leaves from the trees? Wrapping up warm when faced with the cold? Drinking hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows on top?

Or do you much prefer the sunshine? Or even the harsh contrast of Winter?

While we are on the subject of Autumn, do you have something on offer for this fantastic season? Do you have a seasonal event coming up? Should we wrap up warm and venture into your shop for some Autumnal treats?

Feel free to contribute with your Autumn inspired tweets between 8pm & 9pm tonight! Don't forget to use the hashtags #EYorksHour and #Autumn to keep up with the conversations.

Guilty pleasures

This morning I gave a presentation about something I'm passionate about - there are three possible answers for this; cake, social media or events. I chose to talk about social media and described it as my guilty pleasure.

Therefore I thought it would be fun to find out what your guilty pleasures are?

Are you a social media geek like me? Do you have a Tuesday night tradition that has become your guilty pleasure?
Is there a particular programme that you couldn't possibly miss?
Or perhaps you're a guilty lover of cake too?

For some light hearted networking tonight, let's scratch the surface to find out what you're most guilty of!

Join us between 8pm - 9pm and don't forget to use #EYorksHour and #GuiltyPleasures

EYorksHour update!

Hello all,

You will be pleased to know that I have now secured all singing, all dancing, super fast (fiber optic broadband) internet in my new house which means that I'm back to hosting East Yorkshire Hour with no glitches and wifi failures (fingers crossed).

I for one have missed the weekly interactions and fun updates from our wonderful networkers and I'm sure you'l all be bursting to give us your latest news.

A few changes:

1. At the end of each networking hour, I'm going to let you know the theme of the following week, so that you can start to think up some eye catching tweets and perhaps you might also know someone who would benefit from joining in that particular week too.

2. I'm also going to get back to doing the round up. It will be a little bit more short and sweet than before, however it will still allow those who miss a week, to catch up!

3. Finally, I'm on the look out for anyone that might want to help run East Yorkshire Hour, once or twice a month? With hosting the hour and writing a short roundup afterwards?
If you're interested, then please send me a direct message and I can give you some more details!

Don't forget to join us at 8pm for a nice #EYorksHour catch up and if you can't make it this week, we will tweet you next :-)

Thank you, Krissie
